Our method and the quality of our teachers make French courses in Rambouillet  very efficient !

You are perhaps a beginner, in any case we are not! You will find that our experience (our school has existed since 1950 ) and perception provide you with direction, insight, perspective and measurable improvement!

It begins with your first course. You start speaking French : you learn greetings and presentation. You understand the simple French sentence structure, and the basis of pronunciation.

As the days pass by, you will know more grammar, your vocabulary will become more fluent, and all these outcomes will be achieved by classroom language training and practise in real life situations.

Don't think you will be submitted to scholastic methods such as irregular verbs memorising practises! It is through communication activities, managed by a skillful teacher, that language learning is achieved, in a pleasant way for the learner. We are aware of the fact that, if you have chosen to come to France, the main purpose is to communicate in French, and not to listen to a CD, neither to do exercices that you would be able to do in your own country!

Bonjour, je m'appelle

Valérie,

je suis la responsable pédagogique de l'institut, chargée de l'organisation de vos cours.

This course has been honoured in 2007 by the 2 existing French labels of quality :

Quality control of French as a foreign language" administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,

and also by the Label Fle. administered by the professionals of French for foreigners

Your daily tasks :  6 hours a day in a small group.

At 8:30 (until 10:30) you will have the first morning lesson with a teacher. Then, after a break, at 10:45 (until 12:45) you will attend the second morning lesson with a different teacher. Your will be working with a proven book (Taxi, or Panorama), enriched with authentic documents.

The educational sequences alternate grammar and semantic acquisitions, and language topic consolidation.

At 2:00pm (until 4:00),you will practise your language acquisitions through conversation acitivites with a third teacher, role playing, debates or presentation... and any other real life situations.

But you can also choose to participate in one of the available excursions proposed in the "aimer la France" program.

After 4:00pm the language laboratory and the internet room are accessable for free if you want to continue your language training. If you have chosen the "special exam" option, you will meet afterwards with your tutor for a daily report and assistance. You can also extend your day by attending a one on one lesson.

Your week at the institute :

Each week achieves a complete and independent unit, linked to the others. We comply to the progression of the Common European frameworks of Languages.

During the first two hours of the week (Monday 8:30-10:30) and during the last two hours (Friday 2:00 pm-4:00) you can choose to attend one of the several workshops*.

On Monday morning, during the workshops , the new students are tested (oral and written test). In that way, we can organize uniform groups of students, integrating together old and new students of the same language level. Then it is possible to start working with these groups Monday at 10:45

Every four-week period, we change the teacher's timetable, so that you can experience different speakers.

*the workshops

consist of a guided activity  that allows you to choose what interests you the most : grammar revision work, preparation for the DELF or DALF, Business French, poetry, news, French songs.....

Monday 8:30am-10:30

Friday 2:00pm-4:00

The end of your course :

No matter how long your stay is, you will be given a detailed language proficiency certificate. It is also possible to pass the TCF (Test de Connaissance du Français).

You can also prepare for the DELF and DALF exams, which give you the diploma that justifiy your French language level under international criteria, and are particularly useful when you want to go study in a French University, for instance. These exams are taken in Paris, or when you are back in your country, in a French Embassy.
