Lodging at Rambouillet...

We advise you to stay in the institute or nearby, in order to integrate a friendly community that will give you the chance to keep learning French in authentic contexts after the lessons

In fact, besides the higher cost, a family lodging is often deceiving because of the time wasted in transports but also for the impossibility to participate in the night parties at the institute. Do not forget that if you choose to stay with a family, there is always the obligation to adapt to food habits or to an organization that might not be very flexible and, especially, be aware that communication is often limited to watching TV together! Consequently, we do not advise this formula, as we have privileged to offer you a full board accommodation at the institute

Thus, the students choose a single or a double bedroom in one of the three residences in the institute's park, or a studio in town.

Lodging at the institute

You wake up each morning in a park.

Each of the three residences welcomes 20 students (maximum). Common toilets and showers are available in every single floor (one shower for an average of 4 students).

If you choose a double room, you will share it with another student (of more or less the same age). The other student's mother tongue is never the same as yours (except if you come together with a friend and you express the will to share the same bedroom). It is an extra opportunity to speak French!

Studios in town :

In the main street near the institute (10 minutes far away by foot) we have 9 comfortable studios (capacity for one or two people)

studio Constellation : located on the second floor of a building. This studio has a balcony, a bathroom (shower, toilet) and a cooking area, equipped with refrigerator and gas installed.

résidence Gaugain : in what concerns this beautiful residence, located in one of Rambouillet's main streets, next to the shops and the train station, it has 8 studios to offer. There is a common room on the ground floor, which has a small kitchen, equipped with refrigerator and microwave. On the first floor, there are 4 studios, 3 of each with double bed. On the second floor, there are 4 studios with a sloping ceiling. Each studio has its own individual bathroom (shower and toilet).

Once a week, bedrooms and studios are cleaned and top and bottom sheets are changed.Beware! : Toilet and bathroom laundry is not provided.In the institute basement, a washing machine, a dryer and a flatiron are available.

All the rooms are non-smoking.

J'habite à l'entrée, et je suis le gardien de l'institut. Dans la journée, je m'occupe du parc, et de toutes les questions matérielles.

However, you are also free to choose to stay in an hotel, or on Rambouillet's campsite. In that case, we are able to advise you in your choice and help you with your reservation.

: you can also stay in a " résidence services " which offers 75 studios very well equipped, at a very reasonable price.
